Learning Cohorts
Learning Cohorts
To help cultivate a collaborative learning community centered on mission, Three Rivers Collaborative is driven by developing relationships between pastors, leaders and churches through intentional conversations, collaborative learning communities, formational retreats, and biannual conference gatherings. Through these learning communities, in all their different forms, we work together in reframing mission, relearning the ways of Jesus and releasing the church’s potential.
Three Rivers Collaborative has identified Seven Marks of Movement for faith communities which fall under one of the three phases-reframe, relearn, release. These Seven Marks serve as the framework for each and every learning community. Each of these Seven Marks includes a belief (paradigm) and a set of behaviors (practices) that bring holistic and lasting change to the culture, mindset, practice and skill set of a church and its leaders.
Commitment, Covenant, and Cost
For churches who are interested in being a part of a Three Rivers Collaborative cohort, there is a commitment of 3-4 one day cohort gatherings a year, and an annual gathering of all churches who participate in Three Rivers. (There are also opportunities for churches to engage in retreats, discussion groups, and workshops without being in a cohort.)
Three Rivers is committed to the covenantal relationships that are formed through our work. Three Rivers staff is made fully available for spiritual, leadership, and/or church support outside of all our regular calendar events. We believe that the relationships that are formed out of Three Rivers are not only what makes us so unique but also the heartbeat of all that we do. Three Rivers is committed to those relationships that are formed, and we make intentional efforts to maintain them.
There is no cost to participate in any part of Three Rivers Collaborative. This is thanks to the generosity of the Lily Endowment and multiple individual donors who fund the work of Three Rivers. We believe there should be no barrier to churches who want to sit at the table together with each other, and we do our best to make sure that Three Rivers churches have full access to everything we do at no cost on their part.
